Effective supervision of staff involves the ability to set clear expectations, monitor staff performance, and provide constructive feedback in order to help staff meet programmatic expectations. All of which are integral to maintaining the quality and effectiveness of programming for the children and families in your care. However, being the “supervisor” is not always comfortable for people, especially when it involves staff with whom you have become friends and/or staff who are not meeting those expectations. This workshop will examine the challenges and the rewards of effectively supervising staff.
