Working with older elementary and middle school students? Stipends still available to implement Through My Window literacy and engineering program! Now is the perfect time to implement Through My Window in your after school program!  Why?  In response to requests from educators everywhere, we’re excited to announce that the full-length young adult STEM mystery novel Talk to Me is now available in paperback on Amazon

Use smile.amazon.com and select the Connecticut After School Network as your charity of choice before ordering Talk to Me for the children and young teens in your program!

Through My Window is a multimedia learning environment designed to engage both girls and boys in engineering by integrating engineering, technology, literacy, and the arts.  The Talk to Me novel introduces engineering themes and diverse, relevant characters while companion online learning adventures enhance learning by incorporating games, journals, videos, graphic novels, and more.  You can learn more about the project on our educator/parent website or in these two videos:  What is Through My Window? and The Through My Window Story.

No engineering background is necessary to implement Through My Window in your program!  Stipends are still available for staff training for a limited time only ($150 per participant), as well as free curriculum design tailored to your program and site support.  In addition, $500 stipends are available to sites that fully implement the project.

Program administrators:  we are happy to send you a complimentary copy of Talk to Me for your review.  Contact Isabel Huff via email at ishuff@stcc.edu or Beth McGinnis-Cavanaugh at bmcginnis-cavanaugh@stcc.edu to request a free book and find out how Through My Window can work for you and your students!
