The Connecticut After School Network Offers a Series of Free Professional Development Conference Calls/Webinars for the 2010 - 2011 School Year!

Family Development Credential & Training Program (FDC)
Two Series in Willimantic and Manchester!
This is an 80-hour, community-based, comprehensive skill building professional development training for everyone who works with families.
Empowerment Skills for Family Workers shifts the focus from a traditional deficit model of working with families, to a model that supports family strengths and promotes family oriented goals.
- Earn your FDC credential from the University of Connecticut Center for Culture, Health and Development
- Complete the 80-hour training
- Complete a portfolio compiled of your experience using skills from the curriculum
- Pass the FDC exam
Participants who earn their FDC credential are eligible for 6 undergraduate credits
This FREE FDC program is offered by Children’s Trust Fund, a division of the Department of Social Services in collaboration with Access Community Action Agency.
