First Friday – Making Memories: End-of-Year Celebrations that Matter

What is the perfect end of year celebration? How do we make something that children will cherish and families will regret not being a part of if they miss it? It could be as simple as a family dinner, a picnic, a talent show, or an end-of-year carnival. In this engaging Cinco de Mayo First Friday, we will discuss ideas that can be rolled out in time for the end of the school year. Join us afterward for a walking field trip to Bear’s BBQ (bring money for lunch) to continue the discussion over lunch.

Supervisor Foundations – Making Sense of Staff Evaluations

Date: May 18, 2017
Time:  8:30 am  – 12:30 pm

In a staff evaluation, there should be no surprises. Providing meaningful feedback to staff on an ongoing basis helps them and the larger program grow. Delivering an honest evaluation with constructive criticism can be a challenge and being prepared can make the process go a lot smoother. In this final Supervising 101 session, we will discuss
and practice effective observation and assessment techniques that allow you to give an objective evaluation of your staffs’ performance. Leave feeling confident to close out the school year and be equipped with tools to help you develop your program.
