What is the Big Bang? – Resources for You

Most scientists agree that the universe started about 14 billion years ago. It is sometimes hard to explain to children how this happens – even scientists aren’t sure what came before (although they do have theories).  We do know that all the particles of the universe were contained within one small ball called a singularity.  AND this singularity exploded pushing particles into outer space. These particles began to ever expand. I’ve found some interesting sites, videos, and projects that may interest children.  Enjoy!
