Starting on March 1, child care workers and educators in currently-operating Connecticut programs can schedule a vaccine appointment at dedicated clinics that will be set up specifically for the child care and education sectors. All who provide direct child care services will be part of the priority group, including after school programs – please note this does not include those who do not work with children and families (e.g. a bookkeeper working off-site with no direct care responsibility). See the resources below for additional information.
What after school programs can do right now is read the resources, attend the webinar, and prepare their staff rosters so they are ready to share them when asked. Educators and childcare professionals will soon receive information from their school administrators and employers on when their dedicated clinics will be provided–this will look different community by community.
