We’re gearing up for our 4th annual Fun for the Field Resource Fair, and this year we’re switching it up a bit! We’ve been listening to both Vendors and Afterschool Practitioners, and we understand that sometimes those types of resources can be a challenging part of programming. Hoops to jump through, budget constraints, staffing, etc. So this year we’re combining the fun of meeting and engaging with vendors with our cozy Afterschool Roundtable model, to strengthen connection and understanding.
Hosted at the Atlantic Works Conference Center (57 Charter Oak Ave, Hartford, CT 06106) just across the parking lot from previous years, we will begin the day with a Roundtable discussion at 10:00 AM. Relax, connect, and enjoy good conversation with colleagues from across the state. We’ll have refreshments ready — all you need to bring are the topics on your mind. Whether you have ideas to share, challenges to talk through, or simply want to spend time with peers who understand the work you do, you’re welcome. Together, we’ll shape the agenda and create a space that feels supportive and energizing.
Our last hour will be spent by visiting vendors as years past and completing your Vendor Passport. Visiting vendors and learning about all the resources they have to offer is what is all about! Meet with representatives from statewide institutions, businesses, museums and others to learn about their afterschool and summer offerings in STEM, the arts, history, literacy, and more! As always, we encourage vendors to have games, giveaways, and prizes. Complete and turn in your passport for a chance to win a free conference registration to our 2026 Annual Afterschool Conference in November.
