Immersion, a program of JASON Learning, seeks to help all kids share the adventure, excitement, and learning involved in real scientific discovery, to help them succeed academically, and to inspire them to pursue careers in science and related fields. Program materials include interdisciplinary activities, an interactive website, expedition videos, and live webcasts.

Immersion Dolphins
Join Immersion for an exciting hands-on workshop focused on dolphin scientist Dr. Kathleen Dudzinski and her research on the communication and behavior of dolphins around the world. Hands-on activities will cover topics such as evolution, adaptations, behavior, communication, sound, waves, research tools, marine science, animal rescue and rehabilitation, constellations, conservation, and careers. Additional activities, video clips, and interactive games will enrich the program. All workshop participants will receive a Dolphins multimedia educator pack ($80 value). Lunch will be provided.

The multimedia educator pack for this program includes a print curriculum, a CD containing a PDF version of the curriculum, and a DVD containing corresponding video clips. Each of the 12 hands-on activities in the print curriculum includes a reading selection, activity masters, and comprehensive educator notes, including
adaptations for younger youth. The curriculum is written at a 6th grade level and can be used with youth in grades 1 through 8.
