The Connecticut State Department of Education is currently looking for a few good grant readers to help them evaluate grant proposals for after school programs. This is an unpaid, one-day volunteer commitment on June 30, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stanley Black and Decker University Conference Center in New Britain, CT. A full breakfast and lunch will be provided during this one-day event, during which you will read three proposals (maximum of 40 pages each) and score them on a matrix (training will be provided). Then, in groups of three readers, the scores and comments will be discussed and a final score sheet for each grant will be prepared. (more…)
